There really is nothing like the glory of changing weather conditions to add some pizzazz to a grand prix. A shot of rain on a cool day was enough to turn the Hungaroring into a race to remember. It also didn`t hurt to have the sultan of capricious weather on the grid, hungry for a win.
A light but steady rain created a sensational show on the narrow circuit, which resulted in a shake-up of car positions and cars off-roading. Some drivers raced like maestros while others looked lost at sea. Throw into the mix a burning car at track side and another one spinning in the pit lane, and the recipe made for a thrilling Hungarian Grand Prix. All of this made even more special since winner, Jenson Button, was on his 200th career start, and had claimed his very first F1 victory at this track under the same conditions 5 years prior.
Ever-changing track conditions can turn the Hungarian Grand Prix into a lottery, but if last year`s race is anything like 2012, your race weekend is no gamble!
